For too long I've dismissed with a sneer torture proponent's obsession with the "ticking time bomb" scenario. But my eyes are now open:
Scott Roeder, being held on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault in Tiller's killing one week ago, called The Associated Press from the Sedgwick County jail.
"I know there are many other similar events planned around the country as long as abortion remains legal," Roeder said.
He would not elaborate.
It would appear that Roeder has specific information concerning future terrorist attacks and is refusing to divulge what he knows. Clearly, and I say this with a heavy heart, the authorities must use enhanced interrogation techniques in order to ascertain the extent of this threat.
I assume my new friends on the right join me in this call.
