When your house is raided by agents of the FBI and IRS that's generally not a good thing.
Just sayin'
.
The recent FBI corruption investigation has widened to include U.S. Senator Ted Stevens.[...]
"I put out a statement, the statements there and it says I do not comment on things that are under investigation. Thank you," Stevens said.
[Via JMM.]
"They put me on notice to preserve some records," Stevens said in a brief interview about his legal team's discussions with the FBI. He declined to say what kinds of records were involved but confirmed that he had hired lawyers and that his son, former state Senate president Ben Stevens, "is also under investigation."
.
He's ba-aack. Sen. Ted "Series of Tubes" Stevens (R-Bridge to Nowhere) has introduced a bill to strangle internet access for many:
The man who gave us the "series of tubes" metaphor for the Internet now wants to take away MySpace, Wikipedia, and other social networking websites. Alaska Senator Ted Stevens's Senate Bill #49, introduced in January, would effectively ban any social networking website from public schools and libraries because of their potential to harbor online predators.[...]
But what I find most disconcerting is the bill's requirement that every website enforce "a policy of Internet safety for minors that prevents cyberbullying."
Remember when Stevens announced that if he didn't get his "Bridge to Nowhere" he's resign his seat?
He didn't get his bridge to nowhere.
So...?
