Mittens!

BabymittensWillard:

Former presidential contender Mitt Romney increased his criticism of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama Wednesday taking direct aim at Obama’s experience, telling CNN’s John Roberts that “the presidency of the United States is not an internship.”

“He can read a prompter very well and energize a crowd,” said Romney. “But he has not accomplished anything during his life in terms of legislation, or leading an enterprise, or making a business work, or a city work, or a state work. He really has very little experience.”

And Willard's qualifications for being president are...? [crickets]

(And no, running a corporation isn't the same as running a government. As Republicans have proven time and time again.)

Oh Snap!

NYT:

Mr. Obama had to address race and religion, the two most toxic subjects in politics. He was as powerful and frank as Mitt Romney was weak and calculating earlier this year in his attempt to persuade the religious right that his Mormonism is Christian enough for them.

Mittens To Buy Clear Channel

Mittens12063As if the radio and advertising mammoth wasn't rightwing enough:

The proposed buyout by Bain Capital and Thomas H. Lee Partners, which was announced more than a year ago, has already received approval from the Federal Communications Commission, which gave its stamp of approval last month on the condition that the company sell some radio assets.

Bain Capital having been co-founded by Romney.

As usual, the government is assisting the concentration of corporate power into fewer and fewer hands.

Now Willard will have platforms to broadcast his "Democrats are Muslimonaziliberal terrorists!" message on an endless loop.

Yaaaay Capitalism!

Jon Versus Willard

Mittens loses. (Key moment at about 2:50)

That about sums it up.

And Then There Was One

ADDED: What class!

"If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror."

To be blunt: Every Republican is a mendacious asshole.

There Goes The Canine-American Vote

Ks09_mittensNoted dog-torturer Willard Romney has received the coveted endorsement of noted dog-lover (ahem) and former Senator Rick Santorum.

To say that Li'l Ricky hates, but hates, John McCain would be an understatement. Mike Lux explains.

The End Of Willard?

705391Or a very clever strategy of competing without competing?

Several officials said that on the heels of a defeat in Tuesday's Florida primary, Romney's campaign was not attempting to purchase television advertising time in any of the 21 states on the calendar for Feb. 5.

Mittens dropping out would indeed be bad news as that would make St. John the nominee. Bad news in that an awful lot of self-identified moderates and even more than a few liberals thing that McCain is an OK guy. Why they think that is beyond my comprehension.

Mittens!

MittensWillard comes up with an economic plan: Make old people get jobs.

That's why he's a member of the "Party of Ideas."

Can't Even Buy Respect

Poor Mittens:

The Michigan Republican Party mistakenly sent out a news release Tuesday night congratulating John McCain for winning the state's GOP primary.

It quickly issued a second statement praising Mitt Romney for his win.

[...]

The first GOP release went out just minutes later and stated, "In a close-fought victory, Senator John McCain succeeded again (in) the Michigan Republican primary, winning over a traditionally unpredictable voter base in Michigan."

Five minutes after that, the party sent a release that said, "In a close-fought victory, native son Governor Mitt Romney won an important contest here tonight."

Republicans Are Insane

Willard:

Well, you know, I think the race in Iowa was really a very clear call that people want change in Washington, not in the White House, in Washington.

The Mittster's referring to President 25%.

Next up, the former NYC Mayor and would be Führer:

None of this worries me - Sept. 11, there were times I was worried [.]

As Joe Biden so brilliantly put it, "I mean, think about it! Rudy Giuliani. There's only three things he mentions in a sentence -- a noun, a verb, and 9/11. There's nothing else! There's nothing else!"
