Paging all patriotic Americans!
A few teabagging, NRA-card carrying patriots, have banded together to form their very own subdivision in the mountains of Idaho.
The Patriot Agreement language confuses me. It starts off by stating, "If you read and can agree to these voluntary terms of living with your fellow Patriots, continue to Step Two of the Citadel Application Process." The first time I read this, I thought "read" was present tense, not past. Made me laugh, actually.
Other than that, it's the voluntary part that has me confused. Because down toward the bottom of the agreement is this:
Twelve: Violations of this Agreement will result in review by an arbitration panel consisting of Citadel Residents with appropriate and proportional disciplinary action taken. The most severe disciplinary action may include the loss of Lease and expulsion from the community.
Is this really voluntary?
The whole thing is worth a read -- everything from the number of guns you'll have to have, to how often you'll be tested, to how you'll be required to carry around your weapon in the Town Square.
The place sounds lovely. It's a survivalist's wet dream.
And it's right on Lake Coeur D'Alene! I am unsure of how far this is from the town, but I doubt it is a coincidence.
