Life in America
Just lovely:

Above is Manhattan entrepreneur Apollo Braun ("Apollo Braun!?"). And Apollo Braun one fun fellow:
Braun says he believes Obama is Muslim and that Obama also "reminds [him] of Adolf Hitler." "I can't stand Obama," says Braun, although he adds that none of his dislike for the candidate has anything to do with ethnicity.
Hence the t-shirt: Nothing says "I'm not a racist" than saying that a black man "is my slave". dayvoe visited Apollo Braun's website ("Apollo Braun!?) and found this:

Now, Apollo Braun ("Apollo Braun!?") is pretty clearly a racist asshole. But this story has someone who is downright stupid. Meet Nathanaeli Nassimi:
[G]raduate student Nathanaeli Nassimi bought one of the $69 "slave" shirts and was wearing it as she walked through Union Square last week. Four African-American teenage girls took notice . According to Metro, the girls cursed at Nassimi about the shirt, shoved her, pulled out her earphones and spit in her face.
Somehow it never occurred to Ms. Nassimi that the t-shirt might, just might, anger some people. So naturally, she's doing the all-American thing:
Nassimi has now decided to sue Braun. Braun's lawyer assures him that he has nothing to worry about, that the First Amendment protects his right to make the shirt and Nassimi's right to wear it.
Forget the First Amendment. Nassimi should be laughed out of court for being a clueless idiot.
I know I should be offended that such people exist in the same country as me but, frankly, I've reached the point that I can't help but laugh at such people. I know that racism is going to be big in the election - I think bigger than most people realize - but at some point some people are just too far gone to take seriously. Like Apollo Braun (Apollo Braun!?). I'm more worried about the fine-seeming people out in the suburbs who you'd never thing were racists but won't vote for Obama because "there's something about him I don't like".
One other thing: Apollo Braun ("Apollo Braun!?") also sells a t-shirt which reads "Who Killed Obama?".
The Secret Service might want to look into that one.
.

Apollo Braun sells "slave" t-shirts for $69? I'm sorry, sixty-nine dollars for a T-SHIRT?
Good lord, that MUST be a joke...or an attempt to mess with porn filters...or something.

I think it's just more bad performance art.

It's the woman who's suing him that gets me.
Is there good performance art?

It's very very rare. Let's just say no.
